Wedding Dresses Sale Simple

Summary: Women who like simple wedding dresses still want to have that special princess feeling as they walk down the aisle. A simple wedding gown can also have the elegance and grace normally attributed to more formal and intricate designs.
My friend Peggy is always on the search for a good sale. I don’t think she ever paid full price for anything. She will spend an hour bargaining down a boutique worker or store manager just a few dollars. I knew when she was looking for a wedding dress it would be more like an adventure in bargain hunting.
I volunteered to help her with the search, not because I had much interest in weddings or dresses, but because watching her bicker with a store owner was always entertaining. Occasionally it is a bit embarrassing as we are generally taught it is bad manners to ask for something rather than earn it.
We spent a week visiting stores and trying on all kinds of dresses, some with trains, some with veils, and some with beading. Most of them were ivory or white, but every now and then she would try on one of a very different color and style. Late in the week she found the dress that stood out as “the dress”.
I knew it was the one she wanted because she got that hunter look on her face and her eyes changed into determined little beads. The girl at the shop who was helping her try it on did not know her looks and calmly put that dress back on its hanger when Peggy finished trying it on.
Peggy glosses over that dress and tried on a few others in the store. We left that day without attempting to buy the simple dress. She then did what she does best; she called pretending to be someone else and asked if they had any sales upcoming. If there is a dress on the sale rack then she will negotiate the price even further down.
She was unable to get a lead on a sale at that store. Her best efforts did not manage to find that loophole so she set out to go to the store and bargain it down. Her first technique was to talk to the saleslady and give her a story about not being able to afford the full price of the dress.
I went with her on her second trip to the store and the bargaining did not disappoint me. We were in the store for two hours, going from the cashier on duty up to the store manager with varying degrees id discount. Finally she settled on a price with the store manager, and managed to buy her perfect dress at 200$ off the original price.
