Affordable Destination Wedding Dress
Summary: Congratulations are in order!  Not only have you finally agreed to settle wedding details but you are going away for your ceremony.  Many women, including me would be jealous!  However, with the cost of a destination wedding, you want to spend a little less on the things that go into it, like your wedding dress.

A few pointers on wedding dresses you are going to take with you to another destination include: choosing a dress that will travel well, choosing a dress that will fit the locale, and sticking to a budget for your perfect gown.

Your first task is to consider garments that travel well.  For this you need to consider the ability to pack the garment, as well as the type of material your dress is made of.  If you pick up a silk or satin gown with lots of lace or frills, then when you get to your destination will you be able to straighten out your attire?  Maybe a cotton or linen dress would be more suitable for travelling.  It will fit into a smaller container than a dress that requires a crinoline or dress bag.

If you consider your destination and the ceremony you have planned.  Are you having an island wedding?  Will the ceremony be on a beach?  Is your wedding casual? Is it formal?  Is your wedding in the evening?  What colors are you having for your ceremony?  Are you having a traditional wedding with a flower girl and bridesmaid dresses?  What size is the wedding party?  Do you need a white or ivory dress? You need to start planning of all these things when deciding the style of your dress.  

If you compare your dress to the local fashion does it fit in?  You might not even want your dress to look like it came from the area you are getting married in.  You want to pay special attention to the design of your garment.  You can even take your chances and leave the wedding dress choice until you get there, and shop in a local store hoping they have something suitable from their collection.

When considering your wedding dress, many women want to have the best looking dress possible.  Occasionally this dream of ours can make it so we lose our heads momentarily and forget the restraint of our budgets. A plan when buying anything expensive is to sleep on it.  If our sleep is continually tortured by the image of some other woman getting the only available beautiful and elegant gown then perhaps that dress would be the best choice and worth the price.
